Description

Round trip to and from Blitzingen or Biel
the rotten trail is a signposted tour of global trail.
Actually, it would need no description here, you can simply follow the GPS track and follow the signs.
From the train station in Blitzingen, we go down to the bridge. The starting Board is next to the bridge. Often there is a high pile of snow, we first must exceed before we see the second marker Board. The trail leads directly along a piece to the rotten before we ascend the slope. Some way we follow the winter hiking trail, before we turn again to the right and follow the rotten or the river Grove. Soon we come to a winter hiking trail. Along this route, which crosses a bridge, also in the map leads drawn 8 loop. We give up, as the trail in the first part with the rolled winter hiking trail is identical and not selected in the upper part. Therefore, we cross the road and go straight to the Walibach. We make a U bend northward, so that we can cross the River on the bridge. From Biel, we get in turn on the winter hiking trail, which we follow to the right over the bridge. After the bridge, we keep the direction and pass to a fountain and signpost on the start Panel. Before the last barn we go up the slope left (half), in the summer, this is the route 1. The trail makes a large loop and come back to the cross-country ski run/winter hiking trail. Depending on the condition of our forerunners of the trail on the trail or a few meters is prepared. Earlier, we cross the trail uphill and are back in pure snowshoe terrain. We pass several barns, traverse a forest belt and soon after become the hamlet of Bodme down and are back at the starting point.
The latest online snow report contains information on the cross-country ski trails, ski slopes, winter hiking trails, more and toboggan in the Upper Goms. There is a mobile version of m.obergoms.ch for smartphones
