Ski tour Gamsfeld 2027 m 4.01.08
Before the Föhn storm (wind) destroys the last powder slopes, it went today accross the Gamsfeld with sheltered hollows of ascent. Just before the Summit, we got to the stormy wind sense. Quite a bit of driving snow had collected in the steeper descent gullies.

Conditions: upper very strong Windgepresster snow
in the pits but still powder snow on a hard surface

Comments
Unfortunately, there was a Lawienenunglück with a death toll the day before at the Gennerhorn (Osterhorn group) as a result of shoot snow deposition by the strong southerly wind. The image (marked red in the extent of the snow board) the North-Gruber wort.
Also today 6.1.08 has on the Filzmooshörndl in the Großarlgebiet a Lawienenunglück occurred. Also here is a northern slope.
